As we stroll through its streets, we’ll uncover the stories and secrets of each building and monument, revealing the city’s glorious past that stretches all the way to the impressive Douro River and the Atlantic Ocean.

After exploring Porto’s historic center, we’ll take a scenic drive along the Douro River banks, admiring the famous bridges connecting Porto to Gaia, such as the iconic Luís I Bridge. Along the way, we’ll stop to enjoy the spectacular views of the river, which meanders gently alongside us. Our destination is Foz do Douro, where the river meets the ocean, creating a picturesque postcard-perfect scene.

Lunch will be in Matosinhos, at one of its renowned seafood restaurants. Due to its proximity to the fish market, the seafood arrives fresh and is only briefly grilled before being served at the table.

After lunch, we’ll head to Matosinhos Beach, where we’ll relax at a seaside café – our very own “presidential box” – for a coffee or refreshing drink. In front of us, the vast Atlantic Ocean stretches out endlessly, creating a breathtaking scene that invites us to slow down and enjoy the maritime atmosphere.

We’ll then return to Porto’s vibrant city center to visit the Palácio da Bolsa. Nearby, we’ll explore Praça da Ribeira, with its narrow, colorful streets and views of the river. Let’s raise a glass of Port wine while sampling local delicacies like the famous Francesinha or platters of cheeses and cured meats – a true celebration of northern Portugal’s flavors.

To wrap up our memorable day, we’ll visit the Crystal Palace Gardens, closing our journey with an unforgettable view that encompasses both the Douro River and the Atlantic Ocean.
