This tour begins around 08:00, when we will pick you up at your accommodation. From there, we head to Monção to visit the Palácio da Brejoeira, where a guide will tell us about this 19th-century monument and the production of the Alvarinho variety of Vinho Verde that is produced here, with 18 hectares of vineyards. During the visit, you’ll explore the interior of the palace, the gardens, the old wine cellar, and the chapel.

Next, we will proceed to the historic center of Monção. This border town, located in the north of Portugal, is known for its rich history, beautiful landscapes, and, of course, its famous Vinho Verde wine. Here, we will visit the Monção Castle, a medieval fortress that is one of the main tourist attractions in the city, offering spectacular views over the region.

In Monção, we will enjoy a delicious traditional regional dish for lunch called “cordeiro à moda de Monção” (Monção-style lamb), if desired.

After lunch, we will continue our journey toward Melgaço, where we will visit the Quinta do Soalheiro and the town’s historic center.

At Quinta do Soalheiro, you will be charmed by Alvarinho wine, with a visit to the wine cellar and a tasting of Soalheiro Alvarinho and two other Alvarinho wines. You will also taste the The Pur Terroir infusion, with a panoramic view of the Monção and Melgaço valley.

In the historic center of Melgaço, we will stroll through narrow streets, admiring the traditional architecture of the houses, shops, and cafes that add a special charm to the town. Points of interest include the Church of São Miguel and the Pelourinho of Melgaço.

We will also visit the Melgaço Castle, one of the town’s tourist attractions. While the original structure has undergone some changes over the centuries, the castle still retains its grandeur and offers a clear view of the region. It is a great place to learn about Melgaço’s medieval history and enjoy the panoramic view.

In the late afternoon, we will return to Porto.
